Often times there are struggling organizations fighting the prevalent social issues however, they simply lack the manpower to be effective. Conversely, there are many people who want to be involved in their community and simply do not know how.
tangible - New York Cares is a service created to link social service agencies to volunteers. New York Cares provides volunteers and volunteer training to almost 1000 organizations each year. Its overarching goal is to improve the lives of new yorkers and to do so, the founding members identified a gap that existed between social programs and people who wanted to be engaged.
