Design approaches

Feedback from Len
- need quality control
- provide reasons for the problems
- use brand names when presenting problems
- change manufacturers and companies
- define user group
- how could I change the beauty culture
- make a list of ingredients in products
- make a list of brands doing right and wrong

Feedback from Patty
- design opportunity: create a line of cosmetic (or brand of seal), campaign (bring attention), and label design
- what is the overall outcome? try to list overall outcome, immediate outcome, and design criteria
- create a demand, define consumer needs
- sketches: try to define the value that was represented on each sketch, draw more
- how to change the industry instead of just representing issues?

Hi YooRi,
I really enjoyed looking at your sketches. They are really nicely done and show that you have a lot of imagination and a good drawing style. I liked the imagery of the refilling station for cosmetics, with a big tank and faucets coming out. It looks very scientific and like a factory or large scale experiment. That's nice for a product idea that tries to introduce the idea that cosmetics and beauty products should be pure and completely compatible with the human body, which is also totally organic. I also like the idea of a recyclable container for skin cream and other liquids. You could develop a whole system for displaying and dispensing this very luxurious, but totally natural, stuff. It would, of course, be incredibly expensive, but that would be part of the appeal. A couple of the other ideas looked promising, too, but I recommend you stay away from the purely conscious-raising products, because those are much more difficult to commercialize.
