mona design brief

.primary issue.

I am focused on the education of women about  their sexual health.  I am interested in young women and how we learn and take care of our bodies.  It is my belief that all women need to know about sexual health wether they are sexually active or not.

.secondary issues.

More of a primary issue for me is the lack of value placed in women.  From that I have looked at sexual sexual health as a way for females to understand their own value.

.design problem.

I want to create something that enables access to credible information.  There is a lot of embarrassment surrounding the topic which handicaps the way we can learn.  I need to create something people can learn from without shame and embarrassment. There also seems to be a gap between the time people learn about sex to the time they begin its practice.  Information is often lost and filled in by friends and the internet and is overall not coming from credible sources.

.stakeholders.

young women 18-30, health clinics (school and public), gynecologists

.experts.

health center at newschool

Dr. Parker - gynecologist in georgia

Metropolitan health center
