Chika Nakayama revision

The feedback I received from Len was that I needed to decide who target user that I am trying to reach is. I must think about how I can make my argument stronger. Why do inner city children need to have appreciation of nature? I need to focus on a specific user group, find out what their life is like in this urban environment and what activities they participate in during their camping trip. He suggested me to break down the basic elements of the urban and wilderness experience so that I can develop an idea that is related each other. For example, the sounds of the city and the sounds of the woods as a place to start my observation. In the city, there is sound of the traffic, compare to the wood where there is sound of wind blowing thought the leaves. I also need to make more sketch models to test on my target user.

Hi Chika, I really like your ideas about using sounds in your project. You are correct that the aural environment is something that we don't think about much, but is very important in how we perceive the world. The sound-scape in the city is as distinct from the sounds of the forest or the ocean or a mountain top. I would be happy to discuss this idea with you futher, if you are interested. In my business, we work with sound, and I can show you how you may be able to make an amazing project using sound in an interactive way. Let me know if you would like to know more about this.

Hi Steven,
Yes, I am interested in the idea of using sound. I am still organizing my ideas, and I haven't decided which idea I am going to use. But, I would like to hear about what projects you have worked on.
