MidReview_YooRi
30sec pitch:
With exception of color additives and few prohibited ingredients. cosmetic manufacturers and distributors can put almost any raw materials including toxic chemicals in their products without an approval from FDA.
I am creating a website to educate and provide information about natural ingredients and recipes to make own skin care. I am also designing tools to help users to enjoy making skin care products. By making own cosmetics, consumers can make healthy and safe cosmetics using natural ingredients and it is also affordable.
Len
- use “Ja Yeon” when presenting (no “I”)
- start with something else
- introduce brand (missed opportunity)
- prototype tool (glass bottle) should have lines << lines added after Len’s comment
30sec pitch edited after taking to Len:
Many cosmetics in the U.S. market contain toxic chemicals that can harm people. Ja Yeon is a virtual resource that provides and educates people about natural cosmetics. It presents information about natural ingredients and recipes to make own skin care products at home for users. Ja Yeon also provides tools to help users to make cosmetics easier. The tools are soap molds and glass bottles with lines for measuring ingredients without using measuring cup and users can use it as containers after done making cosmetics.
Steven
- picture on left (presenting use of toxic cosmetics) is provocative
- it almost seems like the project is about fixing after use of toxic cosmetics
- why not kit? (designing kit seems more interesting)
Antoinette
- add shelf life on recipes
- try to find a way to not use essential oils (maybe by using strong scented ingredients)
Mr. Cho
- the board is not clear
- missing scenario
- have natural cosmetics in the board
- website layout is unclear (looks like packaging design)
- brand planning needed
- no need foe clean skin picture / only have toxic picture
other comments
- a opportunity for branding on recipe card (have logo and website address)
