HS, I have been thinking a lot about NEST (great name, BTW). I want to speak with you about the design of the actual thing. Right now, you have a great concept, but you need to focus on the actual construction materials and details. Backpacking tents are a very mature area of product design, and there are many very clever and practical methods for creating lightweight portable structures already in use. You have a good idea for how to re-imagine the traditional tent, but it is still very crude in its details and assembly. I recommend looking at existing tents to see how the connections are made, and how assembly is done. Please let me know if you would like more help in doing this. I have a nice tent that I can bring to class next time, so that we can set it up and see how it works. That's crucial for your project, in my opinion. Steven
