It's not letting me post my board "Due to an internal problem." I'll post it later hopefully.
Feedback:
Robert:
-Focus on callouts that allow viewer to see where the specific parts of the chair design come from
-Emphasize the voting aspect and how that works
-Think about how to show this info. in the final presentation
Joel:
-Are you worried about homogenization, or a boring image?
-There's a nice sense of familiarity in the design, and that adds credibility to your argument
Seth:
-Think about tooling and production costs, plastics
-Dullness/homogenization
-How do you remove your personal influence from the design?
-Is the image a watered down product, think focus groups and car interiors
Rick:
-Incorporates user testing within the voting process
-Reaction to the consensus' desire vs design then ask for feedback from users
-It is a conversation about the rearrangement of the design process
-Two material, two revenue streams (wood more home based, plastic more commercial)
-Cut down on labor to cut down on cost
-Scale and proportion are key
Mary:
-Collect user information to sort through/analyze later (age, gender, materials chosen)
Sheldon from Droog:
-Jason Miller at design Miami- hypnotized consumers and asked them about chairs
-You are reworking the design process and putting the consumers input at the forefront
Kerry:
-Control form by which materials are used
-Analyze the data to get a better direction
-Look into economic theory
-Random sampling- survey sites to get true consensus
Susan Yelevich:
-Need a broader spectrum of chairs
-The image the consensus created seems random
-What if it produces an uncomfortable chair
-Focus group
-How/why does this get us to a better chair?
Mark:
-Democratic design- Etzio Menzini
-Does not seem entirely democratic, not convinced
-You still have a lot of control to interpret the consensus however you'd like
Dave:
-Variations of small details could show differences in interpretation
-Think of how to show the process in video
-More than 1 chair would show progress/evolution of voting numbers
Christian:
-Use better colors to show importance of process- yellow vs blue
-Push the interpretation towards something new

carl, since I was not able to speak with you at the Mid review, it's important that you post your board, otherwise I can't comment. I saw you had made a lot of progress, so I really want to know where you are right now. Can you please try again to post your board? you might have to reduce the file size to get it to load. If you still can't do it, please send me your board as an email attachement so that I can see it and respond.
