Angela Lee Assignment 1. Design for a living world
Angela, You have recognized the material issues in each of these projects, but how do they address people or place? (The 3 are intrinsically linked in all of the projects addressed by the exhibition). Your assessment of Mizrahi's project is interesting. It may be helpful to think about how this could make a big impact even if it is NOT mass produced. In what context could this product exist? What value could it have? Who is its audience? What is its message? In terms of Tarazi's bamboo project, what more could you do with this project to help it achieve its mission? What are the essential criteria of the project? Where is there opportunity for expansion or change?
