Support a school farm by BK Farmyards!!!

Hey everyone!
Remember Stacey from BK Farmyards who visited our class earlier this year?  Well, she is starting a new project at The High School For Public Service in Flatbush, Brooklyn.  They are starting a farm on their schoolyard, but they need our help to get started.  She is hosting a dinner with the Brooklyn Creative League on Monday February 22nd to raise money.  Come if you can, if you can't... tell others!
buy tickets and rsvp here

She is also raising money on Kickstarter for the same farm... you can donate as little or as much as you like!

Leigh Ann,
This is very interesting, thanks for posting it. It is also somewhat scary, because it reminds me of the Victory Gardens that were planted during the second world war.

I wonder if there would be a good business these days setting up urban farms, including the equipment, seeds, livestock, etc. No one in the city knows about farming, so there may be a need for a line of products targeting people who want to try this.
